Our Philosophy

Welcome to C&D

We’re bringing an old-world, curated palette to the new-world market.

We believe, the consumer has grown tired of being bombarded by the same five varieties that have dominated the market for years – Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio, and Sauvignon Blanc.

We’ve seen the light –  varieties of character. Grapes that have been in front of us from the beginning, but have been obscured from our view by the wine industry. And, the wines from these grapes don’t need much intervention to express who or what they are.

We’re advocates of small, unconventional wineries. And, in our search for wines, passion is at the top of the list of who and what we look for in partners and wines to represent.

We welcome the opportunity to introduce ourselves and acquaint you with the great wines that breathe life into our lives.

Featuring the Wines of Kinetic Cellars

Kinetic Cellars is a new upstart winery featuring wines from the Lodi Ava.
Using grapes of Portuguese, Italian, Iberian, and the Mediterranean coastal region, they’re bringing back some great, rare wines.

Verdehlo

Verdelho or Verdejo, as the Spanish would call it, has been grown throughout Portugal, and in the Rueda Region of Spain for centuries. It is a grape redolent with aromas of tropical, citrus, and stone fruits.

Tinto Moderno

The inspiration behind Tinto Moderno was the creation of a unique and intriguing red wine to broaden the landscape of California red wines.

Tannat Red Blend

Tannat is a decidedly robust wine. The rich palate has juicy flavors of plum and raspberry, with a long, generous finish. The tannins are impressive, but nicely balanced with the intense fruit and spice flavors of the wine.
